Flower delivery in Skotnice from a local florist

Skotnice lies 2 km north of Příbor, along the Lubina River. The first record of the village dates to 1330, when it was named Chotnitz. The present-day municipality of Skotnice was formed in 1968 by merging Skotnice with the formerly independent municipalities of Stikovec and Skorotín.

The Skotnice municipal office is in the Stikovec part of the municipality, and its attic has housed the Museum of Rural Life and Agriculture since 2011. The two-class village kindergarten is in an older villa in the Skorotín part of the municipality. At the centre of Skotnice, a watermill stands on a millrace of the Lubina; it dates from the second half of the 19th century and retains functioning equipment from the 1930s. Skotnice's landmarks include the Chapel of St John Sarkander and a wayside shrine by the mill.

Petal is based in Nový Jičín and delivers flowers to Skotnice from there. Flowers can be handed to the recipient at home, at work or wherever they are staying. In Skotnice, this could be the kindergarten or the municipal office, for example.
